Turkey Time Quads - Results

Congratulations to Andrew Flores, Peter Cuneo (shared 1^st), Peter Lattimore (shared 1^st), Jonah Romero, Kristopher Franco, Willow Letard and Dawud Shakir for winning each of their respective sections.  I would also like to thank everyone who participated, especially to those of you who made the trip from out of town to play.  You each helped make this a successful event.  On a side note, I thought it was great to see so many family members participate in the tournament (the Nolans, Letards, Francos, and the Lapinas); also to see Dawud Shakir stick his toe in the water after a 16 year hiatus from chess.  I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

ABQ Invitational Results

Above are the results from this last weekend’s tournament.  There was some confusion in each section how to properly record the results of each game so please take a moment and review your total score before I rate the event.  If you have any questions or corrections just post the corrections on the blog.  Otherwise, I will rate this event sometime after 9 this evening. 

Also, I would like to this opportunity to congratulate Steve Sandager, Jarvis Billy, and Eric Stuart for winning each of their sections with impressive scores of 4/5, 4.5/5, and 4.5/5 (respectively) in very competitive sections. 

I would also like to thank everyone for playing, and special thanks to Robert Hampton for his invaluable contributions in making this event come to fruition.
